The Sacred Self Wellness Collective offers both open and closed group programs to support you in cultivating a sense of self-awareness and self-compassion.
To be mindful means to be open to and actively engaging with the present and to be in touch with what is passing through your awareness on a moment to moment basis, in a non-judgmental, kind and accepting way. To be mindful means devoting your attention to the ordinary, on purpose.
The practice of mindfulness can help you to increase your overall sense of happiness and wellbeing and decrease self-attacking thoughts, break bad habits, decrease levels of stress, anxiety, depression and irritability, and decrease anger and aggression. The practice can also help you to increase your memory, creativity, and can quicken your reaction time, increase concentration improve the functioning of your immune system, help us regulate our emotions and develop a greater sense of empathy and increase our level of self-compassion.
The practice of mindfulness has been shown to increase levels of positivity, through activating an area of the brain called the prefrontal cortex. The prefrontal cortex is also the part of the brain that allows us to reflect on our experiences and be insightful.
